I have a counter-top convection oven that I have been trying to figure out if it would be a good substitue to the microwave. I realize I can’t boil water or heat other liquids(did I mention how convenient microwaves are) but other than that I just warm food and that can be done in my little oven without having to use the energy to use my regular full-size oven. I hope I can work it all out so I can ditch the microwave.

Thanks for sharing. I don’t know what to believe about the quality of the food after microwaving it. But, I do feel in my gut that we would be better off without the oven. At the very least, it does emit a LOT of EMF’s that we’d be better off without. (I write that as I sit here with my wireless internet pulsing around me. I know it’s not good; it’s just what I have). If anything, I’m glad to have a better spot for the dehydrator and I bet we’ll use it a lot more even after the detox if we have a good place for it.

Here it is at Snopes. They did an experiment with it as well: http://www.snopes.com/science/microwave/plants.asp
